Kaktus

In 2002, while studying, I had a really HUGE break-up. To work through the loss, I started writing songs and to make a long story short,  the Afrikaans rock band “Kaktus” was born.

The band really had fun, fun times, ended up as finalists in two national competitions, recorded a CD, got out a single or two and just as we started flying, or soaring – the band broke up. (I got married, the bassist married the vocalist – she’s an incredible phototographer today – and the guitarist and his wife are conquering the world of adventure sports:-)

I still play piano at 3am in the morning and write songs.
